It is almost impossible to believe that we are already into July 2021! It is also exciting because we are going to have an Education Phase I from July 6 through the 11th. We have three wonderful women who will be attending this arduous education and training. They will be traveling to our site and sacrificing much so that they will be able to share this quality information with the women and couples who are seeking it. We desperately need more Practitioners in our area; however, now that we are doing our follow-ups virtually, these new Interns may be able to help with our local demand. We have one student from the Diocese of Venice, one from Pennsylvania, and one from Costa Rica. The Diocese of Venice is underwriting the cost for their Intern. The student from Pennsylvania is covering all the expenses from her own pocket. We desperately need bilingual (Spanish) teachers and have not been able to satisfy that need locally. The St. Elizabeth Mission Society offered a grant of $4,500 to offer as a partial scholarship to two bilingual students. We have one and she is from Costa Rica and because of the ability to do virtual meetings with clients, she will be able to help us fill our local need. We are extremely thankful to the St. Elizabeth Mission Society for their generosity.
Dr. Debra Gramlich is trying to make it possible for those Spanish-speaking clients who do not have a computer to be able to meet at the La Clinical Guadalupana. She is trying to get a computer for that site. We are so grateful for all of Dr. Gramlich’s hard work and dedication to this cause. We also have huge gratitude for Fr. Kovanis and his staff at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City. They offer free housing for two students, and they welcome us with unparalleled hospitality to use a room in their beautiful hall at no charge to our Center. We certainly could not do this without them.
Please keep this Education Program and its success in your powerful prayers. Pray, too, for safe travels for all these women; especially for our student from Costa Rica as she is bringing her husband and three children. There is significant expense for all of them both monetarily and in the sacrifice of their time. They will be in class for 8 long days and then begin their 13-month long Internship. We thank God for them.
We thank God for you as well and for the financial support that you have offered and continue to offer. We pray that God abundantly blesses you each and all!
Have a safe and Happy 4th of July!
