November is a tangy mix of cold and bright.  It is a transition month.  It is  neither damp nor dry. The breeze is colder but not harsh.  November calls us to enjoy the outside.

November also offers us the greatest chance to celebrate our family and all those moments for which we are grateful.

We, at the St. Gianna’s Center, are so grateful for every client.  It is such an honor to be able to walk this part of their journey with them!  It is also reason to celebrate when we can successfully treat their reproductive disorders.  One of the more common of these disorders is PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome). There are many women and girls who suffer with this condition and do not know that it is a symptom of something being wrong and that it can be treated.  The females of the animal kingdom all have cycles.  It is a normal occurrence and should be no more inconvenient for humans than to have protection for our clothing.  The PMS symptom list includes irritability, breast tenderness, bloating, weight gain, carbohydrate cravings, teariness, depression, headache, fatigue and insomnia.

These symptoms usually begin about 7 to 10 days before the menses. These symptoms can range from mild to severe.  They cause a great deal of suffering, not only for the woman but for her husband, children and others who are close friends.

The traditional treatment by the medical world for these women is simply to put them on the birth control pill or to hormonally stop their cycles completely.  There is nothing normal about that treatment.  With the Creighton Model and NaProTECHNOLOGY, these symptoms can be treated very effectively. Once a woman becomes a good charter, the Medical Consultant can order targeted hormone tests.  Every woman is different, and we must order testing according to their individual charting.  Once the results are obtained, the Medical Consultant can diagnose and develop an individualized treatment plan which can is used to properly target that woman’s cycle. The success rate of this type of treatment is 85 to 95 percent!  For some of these women, it is truly miraculous. So many of our clients had no idea that PMS was not normal, and they did not know how normal they could feel once it was treated. I have had several clients who thought that they were “crazy” and beyond help who, after treatment, thank me every time they come for a follow-up.

These cases give me such a sense of gratitude that I can help in any small or big way.

Once again, without your generosity, this work would not be able to reach as many as we do. We pray that you and your family will have a tremendously Happy Thanksgiving.  We certainly will continue to be thankful for your prayerful and financial support.  We may not have it all together but together we have it all!
